“I’ve had two children complete the Boston Band Cranial Remolding Program. I’m still astonished at how quickly I noticed a change in the shape of their heads. Rakesh and the staff at Innovative Prosthetics and Orthotics were very helpful, professional, and informative.”

“The staff at Innovative Prosthetics & Orthotics has been like family over the past few months! We were referred by our pediatrician, who Rakesh worked very closely with along with our physical therapist to determine if this would be the right path of treatment for our daughter. After months of physical therapy to help with our daughters torticollis, which was causing her to lay on her back facing only to the right, she had developed not only a flat spot but also protrusions on the back left and front right of her head. It was also causing her right ear to shift forward and lower right jaw to droop. At that point all three agreed that a helmet would be the best route for us to go based on the moderate severity of her head shape as determined by the initial scans that were done.

The staff has been friendly and flexible, making it easy to schedule appointments for additional fittings as our daughters head grows and the helmet needs readjusted. We have about a month left of treatment but are extremely pleased with the service we’ve received as well as the shape of our daughters head. It has progressed so much in the last couple of months and can’t wait to see her final results and be able to kiss her head once more!”

I am a double amputee and have been one for almost 9 years.

I have been going to Innovative Prosthetics & Orthotics for several years.

Being able to do normal everyday tasks and being able to work out each day has been very important to me.

Innovative Prosthetics & Orthotics has been amazing fitting me with the proper prosthetics and making sure they fit.

I feel they go above and beyond for a person and make you feel like being able to walk is just as important to them as it is for me.

I have worn ankle foot orthotics for 7 years because I began to pronate and my arches were breaking down. I initially began having severe tendonitis and began wearing in shoe orthotics. Those worked for about six months and then I “rolled over” the arch portion of them and I could not do anything active at all.

Since I am active in hiking and dog sports, more secure bracing was required. Without it, my problems would progress much faster and I did not wish to end up in a wheelchair. “AFOs” allowed me to continue to do dog agility, hike. exercise my dog, teach and other activities.

Innovative Prosthetics made my newest set of AFOs. I have significant issues with my feet spreading, etc. and they worked with me again and again to make adjustments that kept me active. Inthe past, some health care providers have indicated that with my advancing age, being active may not be so important. Obviously that made me only more determined to keep moving! I did not experience that attitude at Innovative. Their goal and mine were the same: keep active! It was a relief and it allowed me to pursue goals that required me to be mobile.

Since going to Innovative, my dog and I have obtained 17 more titles in Agility, Obedience, Rally Obedience and Scent Work, five of which are championships. I am also able to get out into “wild” areas which is necessary for my well being. While some competition demands are still difficult for me physically, I am able to do it! I would have had no chance to do the things that mean so much to me and keep me healthier without the AFOs and the help of Innovative. I am grateful for the help and the kindness they have provided.

I started this process so incredibly nervous. I was so afraid I would be judged by other people and that my baby would be judged for looking different for a while…boy was I wrong!! Rakish and Allison are phenomenal and answered every question I had and made sure we were comfortable with the decision we made before moving forward. There was no pressure what-so-ever but the timetable to make sure we made our decision in a timely manner was discussed. They are so great in working with my schedule to get in appointments and were flexible for more urgent adjustments. Anna was very helpful in getting our documentation to our insurance so that his helmet would be covered. I would recommend Innovative Prosthetics to any parent or guardian who was referred by their doctor to have their child seen for a cranial helmet. I can not say how happy we are with the outcome following our treatment.

Thank you!!! 🙂
